Tulum, Mexico

Tulum, about 100 miles South of Cancun, is best known for its Mayan ruins, dramatically overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The place has, however, more to offer: a long beach running for miles and miles to the South, with the village stretched along it, where life is slow and simple.

Clicking on any of the thumbnails will bring up a larger version of the same image, from 130 to 240k in size.

Note of 2005: The cheap RItz scans of 1999 are embarrassingly bad, even by the standards of that time. I hope to re-scan the negatives with a modern scanner "any time soon".
