Canyon de Chelly, Arches, Dead Horse Point

Flipper
The area where those two states meet is my all-time favorite, from the Grand Canyon in the south to Bryce in the north, with the Monument Valley right on the border. Here are a few pictures from some locations in this region, for which I still haven't set up their own Gallery pages: Canyon de Chelly, Arches, and Gooseneck.

The picture on the right has its own story. T've noticed this rock, bathed in the last sunlight, while driving in that general area. Hitting the breaks, grabbing the camera, runnong out of the car, and squeezing out three frames took two minutes or less. And then we watched the shadowa creepng up the slope until there was nothing left.
