Łódź, Poland, is where I was born and raised. My wife and I visit there often, so we keep a small apartment on the outskirts of the city, seventh floor, overlooking a somewhat chaotic, mixed landscape of old single-family houses, concrete Communist-era apartment blocks, and a shopping center.

Nothing special, but there is one bonus: the daily (weather permitting) sunset spectacle from our balcony. This is when we grab our cameras, often a shot of our Tennessee favorite, and spend some quality time watching — and taking pictures.
